Why bother? I think 7 Walkers is WAY more interesting than Furthur, the Dead, or Ratdog - but that's because I love voodoo swamp boogie. At least Billy K is trying other stuff and Papa Mali is a very interesting character. More than a bit of the Night Tripper in him and looks like Schools (for you widespread fans) will be taking the place of the incomparable George Porter, Jr on bass. Then again, if folks want to hear Bobby talk/sing Mission in the Rain and kid themselves that it's good, what the hey?

Schools on bass now? Porter was great, but Dave will be a welcomed addition. Aside from a few shows with WSP I caught Schools side band Stockholm Syndrome a few years ago. I knew nothing of the music going in, other than Dave was part of the band, and was delighted with what I heard. Looks like theirs another 7 Walkers concert in my near future!

BD, recently I pledged to a local community supported radio station and received Chris Robinson Brotherhood tickets. Have you seen them or heard their music? What was your impression?

Wine, I am catching the CRB in Boston in 2 weeks, I am kind of pumped. The CRB shows that you can preview on livedownloads.com seem pretty tight and it is a nice mix of some Crows, some covers and some of his solo stuff, looking forward to the show but check out their catolog at live downloads!

Good call on the Live Downloads, but the 15 second previews are killing me. I'm on a YouTube CRB binge now.

Check out Chris Robinson from Henry Miller Library last year on youtube. I liked them - Neal Casal, the guitarist from Ryan Adams' Cardinals and a singer-songwriter in his own right is in the band. Check 'em out - you got tix. I wasn't blown away but I did enjoy them.

7 Walkers good, Furthur good too, in fact I am really enjoying both, they are playing great live shows. But since you bring it up, that Mission was painful. Do we have to bring signs like in the old days: "Let John Sing It"?
